THE ULTIMATE REMOTE CONTROL OF LP5
The LP5 printing engine can be flexibly controlled remotely using your own labeling software. LP offers a programming interface in the form of a Windows COM object. The print job can be specified via this component (e.g. name of the label layout, printer, number of prints).
Variable print data are transferred directly to the label layout. The control of the printer integrated in the LP is possible via simple commands (query printer status, triggering the start and stop of printing).
With the LP5 socket interface, control is even possible regardless of the type of operating system used: LP5 socket provides a TCP server interface. Your own applications can conveniently connect to the LP5 socket using standard network functions and trigger all actions for variable label printing using text commands. Preview graphics or information on the available printers and layouts can easily be requested via the LP5 socket. In this way, perfect control of the printing process can also be implemented with Linux or Apple systems. An Android app is available in the Google Play Store that already makes pressure control available on your smartphone or tablet via an LP5 socket:
