GHS-Manager

All chemicals are subject to classification and labeling before being placed on the market. By identifying hazardous material properties and marking them with hazard symbols, people and the environment are to be protected from adverse effects when handling chemicals.

The aim of the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) is therefore to create a globally uniform system for the classification and labeling of chemicals for the first time. Wherever the GHS is introduced, be it in China, the USA or in Europe, chemicals will in future be classified and labeled according to uniform criteria. What is poisonous or dangerous for the environment, for example, has the same symbol everywhere.

The creation of labels in the chemical industry is therefore very high  Challenges to the design, especially of the "R + S" / "H + P" sentences. The "GHS Manager" takes on this task and provides the hazard  and security sentences are available in multiple languages in extensive formatting. This manager can also be used to compile multilingual text lists.

The GHS Manager enables users to easily define GHS texts in different languages, which can then be used (in the form of lists / GHS variables) in text fields on the label.

The GHS-Manager generates several lists / GHS variables depending on the desired purpose, which the user can either connect directly to text fields, or which can be optimally prepared optically within formatted special text fields.

A right-click on an existing list / GHS variable in the variable list also opens a menu in which the lists / GHS manager can also be selected. With this you can open an existing list / GHS variable set in the manager and easily change it.

GHS variable

The lists / GHS variable is used for the (automated) compilation of list texts in connection with a database.

LP5 is supplied with a corresponding RS database (LP5RS) which contains over a dozen languages.

The marker / allergen variable is used to automatically mark keywords or key phrases within running texts. The variable searches for the key terms within an input text and inserts identifiers to change the font attributes (bold / italic / underlined / extra-wide) at the appropriate places. The result of the variable is usually used directly in running text fields with the property "Variable font size: Yes (format commands)".

The key words can be read from a database table, or they can be declared directly in the variable. LP5 is delivered with a corresponding database (LP5MA), which can also be adapted to your own requirements.

COMPLIANT WITH STANDARDS MADE EASY

The 13-digit  Global location number (GLN) makes companies and parts of companies (locations or warehouses) clearly identifiable worldwide.  The 13-digit global article number (GTIN, formerly EAN) enables products and services to be identified without overlapping.

It is one of the most important elements in merchandise management systems and can be used regardless of the industry.  the  Shipping unit number (SSCC / NVE) identifies shipping units and enables seamless tracking from the sender to the recipient.

With the GS1 / EAN128 Manager, the user can easily create GS1 / EAN128 / UCC128 content that is structurally compliant with the GS1 / EAN regulations.

The GHS-Manager creates two formula variables from these specifications, which you can simply drag and drop onto the label to create the barcode and associated text.

A right-click on an existing formula in the list of variables also opens a menu in which the GS1 / EAN-128 Manager can also be selected. With this you can open an existing formula in the manager and easily change it.

TRACK AND TRACE OF YOUR PRODUCTS

100% CONSUMER PROTECTION
100% TRANSPARENCY

No matter what branches of industry you are in. The requirements for serialization and tracing of products are increasing in all areas.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Prevent or identify counterfeit products

  • Optimization of the supply chain transparency

  • Targeted recall of individual SKUs

The standards have already been defined in the pharmaceutical (FMD), agrochemical (CRISTAL), medical technology (UDI) industries and some of them have been implemented in applicable laws and guidelines.

Here, too, LP5 forms a stable basis to take over label management.  here  you can find more information about the guidelines and the available software modules.
